~~Story of the Sparrow...!!!!

Caged in a world of endless dark eyes
secretly desiring for open air, endless blue skies,
stretched wings, gliding through the breeze

sugar coated fingertips lingeringly caress,
leisurely stroke my weak satin wings
damaged affection once more betray me

tattered songs no longer hold their tune
whispered voices are no longer fulfilling their roles
breaking, cracking, tearing both our hearts

you close your eyes in tortured understanding
tears of split words slither down your cheeks
the blood shed has now dried staining the floor

we crumbled to the ground smashed & injured
trying to hold on to our love that has disappeared
i know you hate to see me gradually die

its time to set us both free...
